SMEs encouraged to avail of the Business Advisory Services Scheme, up to 30 June 2023
With a view to providing support to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) which have been negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, Government, in the national Budget 2021/2022, introduced a series of measures, including business advisory services to help SMEs restructure their business model by resorting to independent financial services or a business review from professional consultants.
In line with the budgetary measures, the Human Resource Development Council (HRDC) is encouraging all SMEs to avail of the new ‘Business Advisory Services Scheme’ under the National Training Fund. This scheme is for a duration of two years, from 01 July 2021 up to 30 June 2023.
Eligible SMEs would be allowed to use their unutilised contribution of training levy to finance external business advisory services up to a maximum of Rs 50,000 per annum.

When submitting Application Forms (G13 & G14) under the Business Advisory Services Scheme, SMEs are required to attach all relevant documents along with the Application Forms by email to the Business Advisory Services Unit of the HRDC on This email address is being protected from spambots. Important note:
Prior to completing the Application Form G13, enterprises willing to avail of this scheme are requested to verify their unutilised levy contribution by sending an email to the Business Advisory Services Unit.
