HRDC refunds 50% of the cost of an economy air fare up to a maximum of Rs 30,000 per trainee for a training programme, for a maximum period of four (4) weeks. The course fee is refunded as per grant formula and the refund falls within the grant ceiling of the Employer.

The number of trainees who will benefit from the scheme is as follows:

(a)    Firms with less than 25 employees will be eligible for a maximum of 6 trainees per year,
(b)    Firms employing between 25 and 100 employees will be eligible for a maximum of 10 trainees per year, and
(c)    Firms with more than 100 employees will be eligible for a maximum of 20 trainees per year.
