The HRDC regularly conducts surveys on skills needs and skills trends at national and sectoral levels. One such study is the Skills Studies 2017. The objectives of this study are to find out the current patterns of skills in the Construction sector, and to assess the skills needs in the short, medium and longer term. A presentation of the HRDC’s survey findings on the Construction sector will be organised as follows:

  Date    :  Friday 01 December 2017
  Time    :  14 00 hrs
  Venue  :  HRDC Lecture Theatre, 4th Floor, NG Tower, Cybercity, Ebène

The Skills Studies 2017 will be an important tool which could be used by policy makers, private and public training institutions, employers and other interested parties as it would:

•    provide an overview of the skills status in the Construction sector;
•    inform training providers in mounting training courses as per the requirement of the Construction sector and the whole economy;
•    help policy makers and relevant institutions to devise measures to boost skills levels in the country; and
•    identify gaps in terms of skills requirements in the Construction sector.
